Okay, figured out the problem: One of the spambot checkers can only process 300 attempts per day by default. I'm looking into getting that increased. Meanwhile, since the spambot shield hasn't helped much yet, I've adjusted some other setting and added a simple math captcha for non-admin edits. Let's see where THAT leaves us... I'm going to be away the next few days, so I can't do much about the spambot registrations creeping back in, though I do have a plan (a modified version of Assira for new registrants). I'm pretty sure they can't actually edit any pages successfully, as the ip address of the editor is first passed to multiple antispam databases first (fspamlist, projecthoneypot, etc).
